Progression Rules

  • No criminal roleplay is permitted until you have accumulated at least 20 hours of progression.
  • To establish a gang, you must have a minimum of 30 hours of gameplay. However, you cannot engage in gang-related situations immediately after creating a gang. A certain level of city progression is required, such as meeting with other gangs and participating in various dealings.
  • Taking anyone as a hostage from government or private businesses is prohibited.

Community Rules

  • Sensitive Topics: You are not allowed to discuss religious, political, or sensitive topics on the server.
  • Discrimination: You are not allowed to have roleplay which can be deemed to have racist, slavery or homophobic acts.
  • Remarks: You are also not allowed to make any kind of disparaging remarks against races, gender, religion, disabilities, or sexual preference inside as well as outside roleplay.
  • Profile Names: You aren't allowed at any given time to have any of the following:
    • Offensive Steam Profile Name
    • Names having promotional links or promoting any brands of any manner
  • Communication: All the players playing must have access to a proper microphone as well as access to RIRP Official Discord Server to ensure proper communications between you and the management team regarding RP related job application, server events and various other announcements.
  • Player Conduct: You are not allowed to deliberately provoke any player playing on the server by being manipulative against him or the server. Following are the examples of few cases which would result in breaking of this rule:
    • Server Ranting/Disrespecting Staff or Server
    • Too much of name calling or shaming against any individual playing on the server
    • Attacks on a personal level by making sexist comments leading to a hostile environment

Obscenity and Toxicity

  • In-City Discussions: The incidents, interactions, and role play situations in the server are to be kept within the city, refrain from taking it personal and discussing the do's, don'ts, could be's and would be's after the whole situation is over inside the city.
  • Conflict Resolution: Kindly refrain yourself from fighting fire with fire, you are all allowed to seek the help from the Staff Team to work out problems in a civilized manner without any kind of toxicity or accusation which can negatively make the whole situation worse.
  • Language: Keep a watch over your language when you are roleplaying on the server as there are many minors in the server and we do not promote using such kind of language on our server. Try to be respectful towards each and every individual.

Roleplay Rules

  • Combat Logging: Combat Logging is strictly not allowed on this server. It is defined as when you are in a situation with someone and then they log out quickly before they go down or are already down so they don't lose their stuff. Sometimes you will wait there or build a trap but others they don't come back on until like ages.
  • Combat Storing: Combat Storing is not allowed on this server. It is said to have happened when someone stores their stuff that is present in the inventory and stores them in a vehicle or stash in between of a situation with fear of losing it.
  • RDM (Random Death Match): RDM is not allowed on this server. RDM is said to have taken place when someone is killing someone in the city or targeting them without having a valid reason. If a player is afk and is killed when he's afk, it will be considered RDM.
  • VDM (Vehicle Death Match): VDM is not allowed on this server. VDM is said to have taken place when someone is pitting/ramming you with their vehicle. Constantly using a vehicle as an unfair advantage and overpowering someone with it is considered VDM.
  • Character Blurring: There must be a clear separation between ‘in character’ (IC) and ‘out of character’ (OOC) behavior and knowledge. If your personal feelings begin to bleed into the roleplay, it is advised that you take a break from the server. If you continue to act based on OOC feelings, beliefs, disagreements or other information in character, especially in a toxic manner, we will be forced to issue you a warning/ban on the server.
  • NLR (New Life Rule): New Life Rule or “NRL” means that upon death during roleplay, your character does not actually die (unless you decide to permanently kill off your character), but you are not allowed to return to your corpse (unless continuing the scene via hostage roleplay) and you forget all events leading up to the death.
    • Update: After leaving the Pillbox (a medical facility or hospital in some role-playing contexts), your character is expected to act as if they are injured and in pain. This means that your character should exhibit signs of being hurt or unwell, reflecting the recent in-game experience of injury or medical treatment.
  • Metagaming: Metagaming and the use of meta information will not be tolerated. Metagaming is the use of knowledge that the player is aware of but that the character has not yet learned. You cannot know or act on any information that your character hasn’t directly learned through roleplay.
  • Powergaming: Powergaming in all forms is prohibited. Powergaming is the act of using a game mechanic, external information, or a roleplay concept to favor a specific character or story and give them an unfair or unrealistic advantage.
  • Fear RP: You must value your life and act realistic and mature in between situations if you're kept at gunpoint or held hostage.
  • Permadeath: Permadeath or “permanent death” refers to a player character permanently losing their life in roleplay, unable to be revived again. All characters are mortal and, occasionally, permadeath is the best option for stories where a return would seem impossible, illogical or ruin the flow of the surrounding storylines.
    • Update: Forcing someone into permanent death is not allowed and is considered a bannable offense. This includes actions like throwing someone into water after their character's death, burning their character's body after death, or causing harm to their character such as throwing them from a height like Mount Zonah. Such actions can disrupt the role-playing experience and are typically prohibited in many gaming or role-playing communities to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.
  • Counter RP: You must counter the player's initiative when they are in control of your character. For example, if someone does /me removing mask, you must counter him and remove the mask.
  • Supportive RP: It is highly advisable to give supportive RP to other players in the city. Its definition in simple words is to not go too harsh on other people in a situation and not escalate the situation too much so that both sides can have equal fun in the city.
  • Griefing: Griefing or “trolling” is any activity that is solely designed to target and deliberately interfere with, restrict, or ruin, the gaming experience of another player. Griefing typically goes hand in hand with incidents of harassment or bullying and it’s a very broad term that can cover many scenarios.
  • Cop Baiting: It’s strictly not allowed for players to bait officers. Let’s suppose if an officer is busy with a crime situation such as a bank robbery or a murder or they are engaged in role play, you aren’t allowed to do actions which might lead to breaking their RP.
    • Examples:
      • Repeatedly committing crimes or breaking the law in an exaggerated or unrealistic manner to attract the police.
      • Using excessive force or aggression towards police officers without a legitimate in-game reason.
      • Making unrealistic or absurd demands of law enforcement officers to provoke them.
  • Torture RP: It is very sensitive topic though it is generally allowed but you must seek the consent of the opposition individual whether he/she wishes to take part in for the same. It's advisable to include any of the staff members just to make sure the things don't go out of hand.
    • Update: Urinating on a character's body and cutting body parts are not allowed in this context. Such actions are typically considered inappropriate and may violate the rules and guidelines of the gaming or role-playing community.

Exploits and Third-Party Applications

  • Exploits: You are not allowed to take undue advantage of any exploits or bugs which you encounter during the time you play on the server. Doing so will result in permanent ban from the server. If you notice any bugs or exploits in the server, you are requested to contact RIRP Support Team with a clip of the same.
  • Third Party Software: You are not allowed to use any third party software which can modify the server variables like damage multiplier, money enhancement, aim assist and more.
  • Rule Loopholes: We understand there are some or the other loopholes for some of the rules. You are advised to use your common sense and consult with the staff team first rather than just breaking a rule and getting banned.

Criminal and Hostage Rules

  • Hostage-Takers: You are not allowed to use your friends or gang members as hostages. Hostages must be players that have no idea what you are planning.
  • Police Interaction: You cannot start shooting at police just for attempting to pull you over. Such actions will be classed as clear RDM.
  • Robbery Guidelines:
    • Bank Robbery:
      • Pacific Bank: Minimum of 4 players and Maximum of 6 players will be allowed in this situation. Maximum number of escaping vehicles allowed are 2 at the bank. Minimum number of hostages required are 2.
      • Jewellery/Normal Banks: Minimum of 3 players and Maximum of 4 players will be allowed in this situation. Maximum number of escaping vehicles allowed will be 1 at the Jewellery/Normal Bank. Minimum number of hostages required are 1.
    • Store Robbery:
      • Minimum of 2 players and Maximum of 4 players will be allowed in this situation. Maximum number of escaping vehicles allowed will be 1 at the store. Minimum number of hostages required are 1.
    • House Robbery:
      • Minimum of 1 player and Maximum of 4 players will be allowed in this situation. Maximum number of escaping vehicles allowed will be 1 at the house. Hostage is not necessary.
  • Government Officials: At any given point of time if you are making any of the government officials hostage, ensure you have a very strong rp supporting it. It can be considered as an act of terrorism.
    • Update: How the police and government officials will react to such actions needs to be considered. In response to these violations, the entire police department may become involved in the situation to protect government officials, and there may be no limit to the resources or personnel deployed for their protection. This heightened response is in place to ensure the safety and security of government figures in the role-playing scenario.
  • Hostage Duration: Refrain yourself from holding any player held as a hostage for more than 45 minutes.
    • Update: You are not allowed to take someone hostage when the police department is currently occupied dealing with a criminal situation. This rule is often in place to prevent disruptions to ongoing role-play scenarios and to ensure that law enforcement can effectively respond to in-game criminal activities without interference.
  • Hostage Compliance: When being made a hostage make sure that you comply with the demands at all times. Not doing the same would be a clear act of Fail RP which would be a bannable offense.
  • Whitelisted Jobs: If you belong to a whitelisted job, you are not allowed to join or be affiliated with a gang.
